MacKinnon Dinner

The History Department annually hosts the MacKinnon Dinner to remember Father Hugh MacKinnon, former chair of the department in the 1970s. It is traditionally held at the end of February or early March and is a time for history students, their guests, and history professors to come together in a semi-formal gathering to honour Professor MacKinnon’s love of good food, good drink, and intellectual stimulation. Each year a noteworthy and accomplished guest speaker is invited to speak at the occasion.

Speaker: Dr. David Marples (Chair of History and Classics Department at University of Alberta)
Topic: Chernobyl

Location: Charcoal Steakhouse, Kitchener

Thank you all for coming, please check back for information on next year’s dinner.
